Wedding portraits in Helsinki | Kitty & Jarno

Kitty and Jarno got married abroad, but wanted their wedding portraits to to be taken in Helsinki, Finland. We took the photos during two hours in four different destinations: Johanneksenkirkko, Kaivopuisto, beside an old barn and in a wheat field. Including a lot of different backrounds made it possible to get a lot of variation in the photos, and I was really satisfied how they turned out to be! Kitty and Jarno were a pleasure to work with, as they had a lot of good ideas for the photos and weren’t afraid to pose at all.

Pre-wedding photos in the winter | Tracy & Victor

Tracy and Victor came to Finland for a week, and wanted their pre-wedding photos to be taken outside in the snow. They came from Hong Kong, where it is typical to take a lot of pre-wedding photos that you can use on your wedding day. Most couples here in Finland take the wedding photos on the wedding day in about 1 hour, but for pre-wedding photos you can easily spend 3 hours in different locations. I recommend all wedding couples to consider this option, because it really takes some stress off from the real wedding day, as it tends to be “quite” a busy day. ;)

A lot of foreing couples in destination weddings

This month I had 4 foreing couples in total! They live in New York, London, Munich and Hong Kong, but all decided to get married here in Finland. (Ok, the couple from Hong Kong didn’t get married here, but still wanted to get some pictures from the beautiful Finnish nature :) . And if you’re not familiar with the term ‘destination wedding’, it means that you get married somewhere else than the country you live in. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do!

The first set of photos is from Tampere, where Eeva&James got married, and the last set is from Helsinki and Espoo, where the Asian couple wanted their wedding photos to be taken at, because they wanted the Finnish countryside and forest in their wedding photos.
