Wedding portraits in Helsinki | Kitty & Jarno

Kitty and Jarno got married abroad, but wanted their wedding portraits to to be taken in Helsinki, Finland. We took the photos during two hours in four different destinations: Johanneksenkirkko, Kaivopuisto, beside an old barn and in a wheat field. Including a lot of different backrounds made it possible to get a lot of variation in the photos, and I was really satisfied how they turned out to be! Kitty and Jarno were a pleasure to work with, as they had a lot of good ideas for the photos and weren’t afraid to pose at all.

A summer wedding in Kulosaaren Casino, Helsinki | Heidi & Jouni

This summer has been very hot here in Finland, and the wedding weekend for Heidi and Jouni wasn’t an exception. The preparations for their big day had been very careful, as all the little details had been thought of. Heidi and Jouni had the ceremony at Johanneksenkirkko, which in my opinion is one of the nicest churches in Helsinki. The venue was Kulosaaren Casino, which is a very lovely venue by the sea. The last photo was taken just before midnight at the dock at Kulosaaren Casino.

Turning into a full-time wedding professional

This spring introduced a couple of new venues to me, like the Wanha Bäckby, where Hanna & Matti had their wedding (the couple in most of the pictures of this post). In the year 2009 I turned into a full-time wedding photographer, with all my focus still being on getting better and better pictures.

Johanneksenkirkko and other nice wedding venues

Wonderful venues and happy couples! What more could you ask for? This is a great job! :) The first pictures are from Johanneksenkirkko, which is one of my favorite churches here in Finland. Big, lots of light and a really cool red carpet on the main corridor.
